Aurélie Bousquet

Aurélie Bousquet is a PhD of Aesthetics, coach and interviewer. She is a graduate of the University Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. Author of the thesis “The artist entrepreneur, his clients, his shareholders”, she develops the status of the artist entrepreneur. She specializes in the relationship between art and business and advises artists and contemporary art collectors. By choosing to study the artist entrepreneur, we witness the disappearance of the work and the spectator. She is interested in the status of the artist who is in constant mutation, whether he offers art products, services, or an equity stake in his artistic enterprise, the artist-entrepreneur upsets the roles of each. By assuming a direct relationship with money, he organizes an economic-aesthetic relationship with his clients, or shareholders. The artist then has an entrepreneurial type of artistic approach that cannot be done without a foundation on an ethical base. The establishment of a code of ethics specific to entrepreneurial artists is thus suggested; this would have the advantage of demonstrating the existence of a group, sharing values and interests, in addition to promoting the operation and recognition of entrepreneurial artistic practices.
